At Donco Recycling, we added an interesting new “focal point” in our office. Some might say it is not so “new,” but the way we use it is certainly is…

This focal point is an erasable wall at the front of our “bullpen.” The wall starts clean at the first of each month, and throughout the next 30 days the team adds seasonal art, ideas, problems to be solved, solutions that have been created, etc.. At the end of the month, a picture is taken and distributed to the entire company, the wall is erased, and we start again. This simple dry erase board has created a really neat way to engage the creative juices in our team and spread information in a more upbeat way than the standard two-page office memo.
