Midigator: Where Nobody is a Nobody

By Corey Baggett, Founder & CEO

Often companies and products are created to solve a problem, out of necessity. And sometimes they’re created from a realization of product/market fit. Midigator was born from both of those dynamics and continues to promote and foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and a real-life understanding of the modern workplace.

Midigator is the leading chargeback and fraud technology platform used to mitigate risk and recover lost revenue. It provides real-time merchant account monitoring and automatically fights chargebacks (i.e., without human intervention) to win revenue back. Its analytics enable businesses to take preemptive action against chargebacks to keep their merchant accounts healthy and profitable. Midigator's unparalleled reporting and patented fraud management technology saves valuable time, allowing companies to focus on what's important: growing their business.

Midigator is agile, flexible, and ever-evolving with their product, so it makes sense to extend that mentality to its work culture. In other words, our organizational culture has to evolve with the changing times. For us, long gone are the days of the traditional office. Here’s what Midigatorlooks like compared to your typical office and work environment:

That should give you a better picture of how we operate at Midigator. We have a sense of responsibility and importance that everybody plays a specific role within the company and we’re all in this together. Nobody is a nobody.

Here are some Midigator facts to give you a better idea of what we’re talking about:

● We have a remote work environment that puts an emphasis on clear communication

● We all get quality facetime with our CEO, Corey, regardless of where we are in the world due to video conferencing apps

● We have an unlimited PTO policy, which is exactly what you think it is - no traditional, sluggish, vacation accrual due to the fact that we are results-based, and performance matters much more than micromanaging how, when, or where you get things done
○ If you want a day off, take a day off
○ Long weekend, it’s all paid for
○ Honeymoon, paid

● We do “Lunch-n-Learn” company-wide events, touching on a different aspect of our company with different presenters - free lunch at the regional offices is a bonus

● We have a 9-person employee culture committee with employees representing every department and office location - even remote employees - with executive support
○ The purpose of the committee is to unify Midigator culture across all departments and locations and to create a great employee experience for Midigator employees while staying aligned to our mission, vision and values.

Another fun initiative started by the culture committee is #MidigatorOutside. This is a company-wide event, half “IRL” (in real life) and half virtual event, where the folks in office locations will do an active activity together and the remote folks will do it on their own and take photos and send them to the group chat for points. Connecting our digital lives to our real lives is important and should be a ton of fun.

These are all initiatives to bring a sense of community to a bunch of remote employees - and it works! There’s no feeling of disconnection within the teams and the leadership is in constant communication with ideas flowing everywhere!

We’re not perfect, and we’ve faced our share of struggles, but Midigator is the type of company where people feel comfortable and able to flex their creative muscles to get the job done.

We take pride in our work - both what we get done, and how it gets done.
